It is important to add some premix pig ration to the daily ration of the weaner, rearing and finishing pigs according to your feeding targets, and to get to that sweet spot inclusion where economy and efficiency are at their optimum levels.
A good feeding policy is to give the pigs 2-3% of their live weight in barley sprouts and 15% of the daily ration of a dry feed component. Pigs prefer their feed wet so the hydration factor of the barley sprouts fits very well. The high enzymes in the Barley sprouts enable pigs to utilize low-value high cellulose feed components like bran.
